A myth, many call it. Nothing one could ever believe, but still we do. We must, The Island reminds us of it everyday, of our coming into this world was not quite...normal, as some put it. Generations have changed it, but still it remains truthful. What we have, is only what we make of it. This is our story, everyone's story. This is The Island's Story.
» I watched, with every muscle twitched, they scattered with fear. Of them, the noises of them still echoed through every fiber of my being. How did they find us? We were hidden, they could never. But they did. Shrieks of panicking equines flowed to my thorns, I whimpered. Close by my side, her warmth calmed my fears. Optics gazed up at her tall frame, ivory canvas stained red. I cried to her, a smile shown on her face. Why? I thought, but she couldn't hear. I wished will all my might, I could tell her. A young colt now, my growth stunted and voice cut. She saved me, and I loved her. Now she would die and never knew.
» A pitiful grunt was released as her thin pillars collapsed beneath her. I cried, her breathing became shallow. Don't leave me! Her lyrics floated, song-like and sweet. As they had always been. Don't worry my love, we shall meet again soon... I gapped, still and cold as ice. Her creamy grey eyes faded, shutting to this world. All I could do was watch, as my love faded, gone...
» I don't remember waking, nor falling asleep. But my optics opened, I turned away. My undersized pillars struck forward, I couldn't just leave her like that, but I had to. It called me, not sure what, but I had to go. The world whizzed by, I payed no attention. They were all dead, my family long before. My friends, and her now too. The screaming has stopped, they were all dead.
» A light flashed, I jumped right out of my skin. Halting so fast, I almost fell. A light, like a star fallen from heaven hovered before me. Slowly, it drifted off. Pillars moved methodically, carrying my frame toward it. Faster, and faster, I moved to gallop after it. The world flew by, all that seamed important now was the light. As we came to a clearing, the light faded. I tried to stop it, say something. But like always, only a pitiful cry escaped my vox.
» My frame twisted around, searching for something. All that reached my thorns was the rush of a stream. Suddenly, I realized how thirst I was. Following my senses, I can to a part in the woods. Four equines stood before me, all with quizzical looks to their face. Each looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. Optics strayed to the stream, I reached my maw forward to drink. Stopping cold, the face that looked back I didn't recognize it. Older, like an actual horse, no foal.
» A strong neigh pierced my thoughts, coming from behind. I whipped around to the equine who spoke. A tall, muscular dapple with piercing azure optics. Now I recognized them. Foals, from my old herd, but they were no longer foals, as I was tall. The stag who spoke, Arctic. I looked around to see the others. Sahara, a thin beautiful sandy brindle vixen. Phantom, a grey and black stag with pitch black optics. Loner, a tall strawberry roan vixen. Sahara sighed, optics rolling back in her skull, looking from me to Arctic. Loner and Phantom stayed silent.
» I turned back to the stream, looking back at...me? My appaloosa coat looked almost hansom, and I was actually tall. I sighed, wishing Sky, my love was here. What is going on? I froze, my voice...I could use it. They looked shocked as well. Turning, I suddenly knew. The rest was a blur, we galloped the mountain, they behind me. We looked, our island was now split into five, us on the main. They left, one to each island to call their own. I was alone once more, and it happened.
» The light, again came to me. My kissers warmed to its touch, and it told me. This island, for powers. Your power, for your life. Your life...to be with the Sky. Sky and Sacrifice together... I agreed, the light spreading it's power to every corner of this island. I felt myself leave, and she was there. Together...Forever
» A year after Sacrifice' disappearance, a young equine named Cronus, came into existence. No one knows how, therefore he was said to be the son of the Sky and the Island. He was touched by the light, and gained supernatural powers. This was the beginning of the island's equines. Now, equines born to this world, come here. This island, now is called Sacrifice Island. If you come, find the light. Your power comes from the light, and those who don't are normal as always...

Artic himself wasn't much worthy of anyones company. Let alone this stunning vixen by his side. He watched the other pair of equines, finding it funny that the hard hearted Dancing Demise was seeming to really care about Sardonic.
He knew one day he'd die but was not sure if anyone would care. He risked a glance at Ember and wondered if one day she could be the one mourning his death, or he hers. Ah well... love would come or it wouldn't.
My pillars carried me threw the vast, green valley. Optics zooming in on anything that moved, which was not much. I was to be the lead vixen here, and I was going to let everything and every other equine know. I whinnied aloud, my vocals having a slight metallic touch. A chestnut blur running freely threw the valley. Was there anyone here? Was this land filled with such beauty a deserted place that no other equine found their destiny in? I was to fix this.
Strong pillars haulted as I spotted the shade of an oak. My icey optics studied the terra and I came to the conclusion that no other equine was to join me.

Ember felt Artic's touch upon her boa. Soft and caring, but what did he mean by "some what worthy"? She gazed upon him, her optics glazed over by questioning. Her auds pinned forward, her crania held high above her bodice. She was not meant to known as "some what worthy", she was most worthy of her grace. Her gentle gaze changed from Artic to Sardonic and Demise, wishing that someday she would come to love a stag.
Appearance: Chestnut, very light brown mane and tail. Dark eyes almost black, white stripe seems to leap from her dial. Ears seem to protray that she would be of Arabian lines but she is not. Breed: Trakehner X Mustang Personality: A little bit of everything but mostly just nice. She can be sweet, and if she wants to persistant. I'd watch out if you scare her cause she'll eaither flip out and attack or flip out and run.
